After living like we have lived for the past two years (Prague \u2013 Prague without Arnoul \u2013 Ashgabat \u2013 Paris without Arnoul), I am happy we are somewhere for a long term, and together. However, if I had been asked to choose our destination, I never would have chosen this one. There will be more in some other letters about all this, and Me, myself and I. Now I just write the first one from here to give you a big picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is warm, it is sunny, it is rich. There is everything to buy, but not much to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Children are great (when they are not fighting and trying to pluck each other`s eyes out). They go to French \u2013 English kinder garden, and already speak fluently these two languages, plus mother-tongue, of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our cat is 15, she has successfully survived Europe – Central Asia \u2013 Europe \u2013 Middle East trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My husband works more than ever (if it is possible to do more hours than he was already doing). Global crisis touched everybody, including us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was a bit lost when I arrived. New city, again. New people, again. After three months here I found some interesting places, and some interesting people. After six months it will be better. In a couple of years, when it gets great, and I will know everything and everybody, I will have to leave. That\u2019s ex-pats` life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I still cannot tell if I like it here or not. Maybe I will know by the time I will be writing my second Doha letter to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
